Holiday Signature Scrapbook Page
This is a simple idea that does not take a lot of work on your part, but
really makes a great addition to your scrapbook. I got this idea from a Jack
& Jill issue a while ago. The original authors name was Deborah McBride.
You will need:
-Your scrapbook
or a few blank pages that can be added to your scrapbook later.
-Something to
write with. I like to have an assortment of markers and colors available.
You are going to be involving other people in this, and it's always
interesting to see what colors people choose to write with.
-Friends or
family. (You can invite enemies to if you want, but sometimes they don't
always write the nicest stuff.)
Directions:
Label the page Christmas 2006, Sid's Birthday, Avia's graduation or whatever
holiday or special event is appropriate. Then on a separate page, I will
write down some interesting or funny questions. For instance if it's a
Thanksgiving or Christmas page, I might do 3 questions like: What is
something that happened to you this year that you are thankful for? What did
you ask Santa for? and What is your favorite thing to do for Christmas? On
the other hand, if it was for a birthday, I try to make it a little more
birthday boy/girl oriented. Like: What do you admire about the birthday
person? What advice do you have for the birthday person? and so on.
Then I will
usually setup the blank scrapbook pages and the questions page just as if
you were setting up a guest signature book for a wedding. Invite people to
participate as they arrive or during the course of the event, and let them
do the rest. You will be surprised at what some people write.
I like to combine
this with some school yearbook style photos of each person to make some
truly memorable scrapbook pages. Enjoy
