Scrapbook Organization with a little help
from the kitchen
Here's a unique way to organize scrapbooking supplies using
products designed for the kitchen. These common kitchen items keep your
supplies highly visible and well organized. Also makes cleaning up a snap.
Here are 3 that I know to work well, and I'm sure if you stop by the kitchen
section on your next trip to WalMart, you'll find many more. But don't get
to carried away, one time I tried using the garbage disposal as a confetti
maker and the results were.....less than favorable.
Pampered chef makes a product called the tool turnabout which is a round,
rotating, counter size stand made for holding utensils like spatulas and
whisks. But it also works great for storing markers, colored pencils,
scissors, rulers and other small items. It's handy because it keeps
everything in plain view, and it rotates for easy access.
A dish drainer makes a great cardstock holder. It's inexpensive and the
perfect size. It allows you to have all your different colors on display and
it's super portable. I use one for all my regular cardstock and one for my
specialty cardstock. It works great.
I have alot of miscellaneous eyelets, brads, beads and other small
embellishments that I keep organized in a small, plastic fishing tackle box.
And nothing is worse than when I accidentally knock it right off the table.
That can ruin a perfectly good scrapbooking day. Getting everything sorted
out again takes forever. Here's where that old spice rack comes in handy.
Perfect size bottles with screw on lids. No more accidents. I like the ones
that hold about 16 bottles and rotate around on a base. Also you can get
clear bottles so you can see what's inside. Perfect!
Happy scrapping.
